Doug’s areas of practice include representation of healthcare providers and attorneys in professional liability and related litigation at both the trial and appellate levels.

Joining Rhoades McKee as an associate in 1989, Doug is a shareholder and an active member of the firm's Insurance Defense, Litigation, and Healthcare practice groups.  He regularly serves as lead counsel in complex litigation and has argued on numerous occasions in the Michigan Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.  Doug has served as a Board Member of Michigan Defense Trial Counsel since 1997.

From 1988-1989, Doug served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Hugh W. Brenneman in the United States District Court, in the Western District of Michigan.
