In addition to being a business transaction lawyer, Bob is also a Certified Public Accountant, having passed the National Certified Public Accounting exam on his first sitting, an accomplishment of less than 5% of the applicants.  Prior to joining the law firm, he worked for an international accounting firm gaining valuable knowledge and experience in corporate and estate tax matters.

Bob focuses his practice on commercial transactions, real estate and estate planning.  He is general corporate counsel to all of his clients and handles a host of business related matters including business acquisitions, credit financing, and tax planning.

Bob joined the law firm in 1990 and works within the law firm’s Business Practice Group.  A current shareholder of the law firm, he has served and chaired many committees of the firm.  In 2010, the shareholders elected Bob for a second three (3) year term to serve as the law firm’s President and Chairman of its Board of Directors.

Bob and his wife, Cindy, are life long residents of west Michigan and today Bob, Cindy and their two children live in Forest Hills where they are active with the school system and student athlete activities.
