John T. Klees

John T. Klees received his B.A. degree from the University of Kentucky, his J.D. (cum laude) from the Detroit College of Law and his Master of Law (Ll.M.) in Taxation from the New York University School of Law.

He is licensed to practice law in the United States Tax Court. John has over 18 years of experience in basic and high‑net‑worth estate planning, wills and trusts, post‑death estate and trust administration, estate and gift‑tax planning, and tax and probate litigation.

He is a member of the Taxation and Probate Planning sections of the State Bar of Michigan and is a frequent speaker on estate planning. He is also a member/ director of the West Michigan Estate Planning Council, and a member of the Real Property, Probate, Trust Law, and Taxation Sections of the American Bar Association.
