Steve joined Rhoades McKee in 2006 and focuses his practice on general civil and commercial litigation. He has successfully litigated numerous contractual disputes, including those involving the Uniform Commercial Code, and has significant experience in the litigation of complex shareholder/member disputes.
In addition, Steve has handled numerous collection actions, assisted in the litigation of major personal injury actions, and has experience in divorce, general business and real estate matters. He has practiced in both state and federal courts throughout Michigan, arguing numerous dispositive motions as well as conducting both bench and jury trials.
In 2009, Steve was selected for inclusion in Michigan Super Lawyers – Rising Stars in the business litigation field, a designation given to less than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state.
In law school he was a member of the Valparaiso University Law Review, graduate of the honors program, and recipient of course honors in five classes, including Civil Procedure, Uniform Commercial Code: Sales & Commercial Paper, and Secured Transactions.
