Bob’s practice focuses on real estate transactions, corporate and business law, municipal law, estate planning and probate. He has represented clients in commercial real estate development projects, condominium, site condominium and plat developments, commercial and industrial lease negotiations, zoning disputes and commercial loan transactions. Bob has served on the boards of directors of numerous charitable organizations, and has served as a Trustee, Treasurer, and President of the Grand Rapids Bar Association.

Bob also has extensive experience in representing health care professionals.  He has been an attorney for the Alliance of Health (formerly West Michigan Systems Agency) for over 20 years and, for many years, has served as chair of the Alliance's Evaluation Committee which reviews applications for Certificate of Need.  He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Health.

He is admitted to practice in both the United States District Court for Western Michigan, the United States Tax Court, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He is a paraplegic who uses a wheelchair for mobility and is well versed in disability rights issues.
